So, here's the scoop. Olga Kharlan, a Ukrainian fencer, got disqualified from the World Fencing Championships. Why? She didn't shake hands with Russian Anna Smirnova after their match. Instead, she offered her sabre for a blade tap, which isn't the usual etiquette.

Smirnova wasn't having it, launched an appeal and staged a 45-minute sit-in protest. Even though Kharlan won the match, she got the boot. Apparently, there's a hard and fast rule about the handshake thing in fencing.

In the heart of Skid Row, a beacon of kindness, Dr. Kwane Stewart, lights up the streets. Fondly known as "The Street Vet," he has become a beloved figure for the work he does with his non-profit, Project Street Vet. Despite the area's reputation, Stewart and his volunteers are committed to providing free medical care to the pets of the homeless.

Pets are cherished companions and sources of security for 10-25% of America's homeless population. But, these pet owners often lack the resources for proper care. That's where Stewart steps in.

Initially, Stewart, who found himself in a heap of student debt and disillusionment with his career, started giving back by offering free care to pets in LA. Fast forward 7 years, and his journey took an exciting turn with the launch of a Canadian TV show about his work, which brought an influx of support for his mission.

In 2020, he and his brother Ian started Project Street Vet, a non-profit providing free pet care essentials, education, and more to those in need. In collaboration with animal clinics and charity organizations, they also run pop-up clinics offering advanced medical procedures.

Last year, they helped nearly 600 pets and provided financial assistance to 150 people. Powered by donations, their mission continues to give love and care to these pets and their owners. 🎭 Tired Clerk's Bizarre Escape Plan: Staging a Robbery

So, here's a wild one from Tulsa. Our man of the hour, Isaias Jones, a gas station clerk, supposedly orchestrated a fake hold-up, all because he was tired and wanted to bounce early from work. Yeah, you heard that right.

On June 5th, Jones dials up the cops and spills a story about a masked dude who pulled a gun on him and cleaned out the register before dashing off.

Here's the twist though, after catching the supposed 'robber', a guy named Steven Jones (no relation to our tired clerk), the police learn that this ain't a random stick-up. Steven spills the beans, saying a mutual friend, Alyia Locke, asked him to play pretend-robber because Isaias wanted to duck out of his shift early.
