So get this: Monique Jeremiah from Queensland, Australia, is making an extra $600 a month by renting out the other side of her bed to strangers. Yeah, you heard that right! After her business went under during the pandemic, she hopped on this "hot bedding" trend where people share a bed to sleep—no strings attached—and make some money while they're at it.

Monique says it's all good as long as both people respect each other's space. She's even gotten her ex to join in, and plans to bump up her rates because, well, life in Australia ain't cheap! (Source)

🏡 Heroes Come Home to Mortgage-Free Lives

Dude, some awesome organizations are stepping up big-time to thank veterans who've been injured in the Middle East wars. Take former Sergeant Tory Honda in Wisconsin, for example. Him, his wife, and kids just got a new, mortgage-free home, thanks to a collab between Operation Finally Home, Tim O’Brien Homes, and the Structural Building Components Association.

And then there's retired Army Sergeant Shane Parsons, who's wheelchair-bound after losing both legs. The Gary Sinise Foundation went all out and built him and his fam a 100% accessible, smart home in Ohio. It's changing lives and making these heroes feel like, well, heroes at home too. (Source)

🌌 Mind-Blown: The Universe Might Be Way Older Than We Thought

Source: phys

Get this. Scientists have been scratching their heads about some weird stuff spotted by the James Webb Space Telescope. According to the old-school Big Bang theory, the universe should be around 13.8 billion years old, right? But this new research says, "Hold up, it might actually be 26.7 billion years old!" This is all based on some "impossible" galaxies that look like they've had way more time to evolve than they should've.

To figure this out, they used the redshift of light coming from distant galaxies, which is kinda like the cosmic version of a Doppler radar telling you how fast something's moving away from you. The older model couldn't explain these oddities, but mixing it up with some other theories kinda doubled the universe's estimated age. It's still a working theory, but it's seriously shaking up what we thought we knew about the cosmos. 🤯 (Source)
